Decoration Suggestions: Things Not Recommended For Kitchen

The kitchen is the most functional place in the home, and there are many pitfalls in decoration. In this issue, I will share with you these things that are not recommended for kitchen decoration, and see if you regret installing these in your kitchen.

1. Sintered Stone Countertop

Whether it is expensive or cheap, the essence of the sintered stone slab is ceramic tile, and ceramic tile cannot escape the disadvantage of poor tension.

To make up for it, you have to spend a lot of extra money to reinforce it. When we were decorating, we asked that reliable sintered stone slab countertops were often three to five thousand yuan per linear meter.

The effect of reinforcement is indeed there, and it can be much more durable. But compared with the cheaper quartz countertops, it is still weaker.

Moreover, there are so many inferior sintered stone slabs, which are inferior and easy to break.

Therefore, although sintered stone slabs have the advantages of more beautiful and advanced patterns, dirt resistance, wear resistance, and fire resistance, we ordinary people still recommend using quartz stone, because quartz stone is a hexagonal “war stone” and has no obvious disadvantages.

2. Black Sinks

Just like cars, black will show dirt and dirt more, especially when there is scale.

Therefore, it is not recommended to use black for all water-related objects, including kitchen faucets, sinks, countertops, etc.

If you have already used it at home, there is no better way but to clean it frequently.

3. Stone Ceramic Sinks

Ceramic and stone sinks do have different aesthetics.

But we are far from being able to buy them with confidence! Because:

① Stone sinks are easy to get dirty, and even if you clean them very hard, they cannot be completely cleaned in the later stages of use.

② Ceramic sinks are easy to be scratched, and most of them are not cost-effective.

For ordinary families, it is recommended to choose ordinary stainless steel sinks, and remember to choose embossed ones, which are more wear-resistant.

4. Small bricks

Gaps between tiles are a difficult part of kitchen cleaning.

Using small tiles means leaving a lot of gaps, which means that cleaning will be many times more difficult in the future.

So to live comfortably and have a clean kitchen in the future, we should give up small tiles and use large tiles instead, or pursue seamless rock slabs or enamel slabs.
